Connections for One or Two Speakers (Cable Assembly P/N 1461907)
The PA300-CN is designed to operate to operate with one 11-ohm impedance speaker or two 11-ohm
impedance, low power (58 W) or high power (100 W), speakers connected in parallel and in phase.
WIRING PRECAUTION—Do not connect the brown zip cord wires to the
speaker. Failure to follow this precaution may damage the speaker system.
WIRING PRECAUTION—NEVER CONNECT the brown SPEAKER HIGH
POWER (100 W) wire and orange SPEAKER LOW POWER (58 W) wire
together to the speaker(s). Damage to the unit will occur if speaker wires
are improperly connected.
To connect one or two Federal Signal speakers:
1.
Use 18 AWG wire to connect the two speaker leads marked "1" to the BLUE "Speaker Common"
lead from the cable assembly (P/N 1461907).
2.
Use 18 AWG wire to connect the two speaker leads marked "2" to the BROWN "Speaker High
Power" or ORANGE "Speaker Low Power" lead from the cable assembly.
3.
When finished, insulate the spliced leads with butt-spliced wire connectors. Fold and seal unused
leads.
