TROUBLESHOOTING THE MACHINE

TROUBLE
Cap infeed channel: caps jam the
channel
Infeed turn-table: caps do not enter
Knurling spindle: caps not ejected
Infeed turn-table: vacuum cannot
hold the caps in the cavities
Exit channel: caps jam channel

MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS
CAUSE
deformed caps in the channel
cap infeed channel surface is dirty
insufficient compressed air
insufficient compressed air
rotary distributor seal is not tight
cap ejection nozzles dirty
caps are crushed
rotary distributor seal is not tight
insufficient compressed air

REMEDY
remove the deformed caps
clean the surface the caps slide on
check the pressure for the air mains
read on the middle gauge (values given
in paragraph 2.3.1, SPECIFICATIONS)
set the flow regulators for air blowers
check compressed air supply
pressure
set pressure regulator located in
cabinet
adjust the distributor's spring
assembly
remove and clean the ejection
nozzles
make sure vacuum is present
check the vacuum pump filter
make sure the incoming caps are
correctly directed
adjust the distributor's spring
assembly
check compressed air supply pressure
set the flow regulators
