EXIT CHANNEL

(references in figure 7.6)
ADJUSTING THE DEVICE THAT DETECTS WHEN CAPS ARE NOT EJECTED
This device detects when a cap that failed to be ejected is present on the spindle (12) by means of the lever (11). In
fact, the lever carries out a movement that inactivates the proximity sensor (17) stopping the machine.
The lever (11) has to be adjusted radially in relation to the spindle (12) while the disk (18) needs to be adjusted axially.
ADJUSTING AXIALLY
- Loosen the nut (19) and move the disk (18) until it is perfectly positioned in relation to the spindle (12). The profile
of the disk (18) should coincide with that of the spindle (12).
- Fully tighten the nut (19).
ADJUSTING RADIALLY
- Loosen the screw (20).
- Adjust the position of the roller by moving the mount (21).
- Fully tighten the screw (20) to secure the device in place.
REPLACING THE CAP EXIT CHANNEL FOR SIZE CHANGE-OVER
The entire exit channel needs to be replaced when caps of different sizes are handled.
- Disconnect the fiber optic (9) from the photocell (6).
- Remove the photocell (6) by taking off the fixing screws.
- Disconnect the blower (S).
- Remove the screws (7), replace the photocell unit (6) and rewire.
- Replace the channel by carrying out the operations previously described in reverse.
