6.8.3 Cleaning the fuel screen

Screw the air filter cover tightly back in.
Assemble the protection grid on the left hand side of the
engine. Retighten the fastening screws with a tightening
torque of 25 Nm (18 ft.lbs).
WARNING!
Fire hazard! Health hazard!
When working on the fuel system do not use open fire,
do not smoke, do not spill any fuel.
Clean the fuel screen filter only when the engine is
cold.
WARNING!
Health hazard!
Do not inhale any fuel fumes.
ENVIRONMENT!
Catch running out fuel, do not let it seep into the
ground.
Disconnect fuel hose Ä Fig. 64 from fuel cock. Open the fuel
cock, drain off fuel.
Clean the area around the tank cover, unscrew the tank
cover (1) Ä Fig. 65.
Unscrew 3 fastening screw from the cover (2) and take off
the cover.
Unscrew 3 fastening screws for the engine stop switch and
take off the engine stop switch.
