Pliage et dépliage du cadre
Sur un trike à cadre pliable, une traction sur une cordelette per-
met de rabattre la partie arrière sous l'avant. En rentrant en plus
la bôme entièrement et en démontant la roue avant, l'encom-
brement du trike se réduit à une hauteur d'environ 68 cm et une
longueur d'environ un mètre.
Remarque:
S'il y a un dérailleur, sélectionnez un pignon intermédiaire
afin d'éviter un déraillement de la chaîne pendant l'opéra-
tion de pliage.
1. Déverrouillez le siège en pressant le câble (marqué ici en jau-
ne) vers le bas.
2. .Rabattez l'armature du siège vers l'avant.
Remarque:
Veillez à ne pas salir la toile du siège.
Protégez-la en intercalant un chiffon entre la chaîne et le
siège.
3. Détachez la toile du siège sous l'assise et rabattez le siège
vers l'avant (cf. page 14).
4. Déverrouillez la charnière du cadre (1) en tournant l'écrou
papillon dans le sens antihoraire.
5. Placez-vous du côté gauche du trike (dans le sens de la mar-
che) au niveau de la charnière.
Remarque:
Pour faciliter cette opération, veillez à ce que les roues tour-
nent librement pendant le pliage. Libérez le frein de stati-
onne-ment s'il est serré
6. Tirez la cordelette (2) vers le haut et légèrement en arrière,
de sorte que la partie arrière du cadre se rabatte vers le bas
sous la partie avant.
7. Verrouillez le trike en position pliée en coinçant la cordelette
dans le coinceur (3).
8. Desserrez les deux vis à six pans creux qui retiennent la bôme
dans le tube du cadre principal à l'aide d'une Allen de 6 mm
et rentrer la bôme (cf. également page 6, Régler la longueur
du cadre).
Répétez les étapes 1 à 9 dans l'ordre inverse pour déplier le vélo.
Attention !
Veillez à ce qu'aucun élément fragile tel que les câbles de
freins ou de vitesses ne se coince dans la charnièrelors du
pliage et ne soient endommagé.

/ Riding your trike
Folding and unfolding the frame
If your trike has a foldable frame, the rear portion can be folded
down and forward by pulling a cord. When the front boom is fully
inserted and the front wheel is removed, the folded trike has a
height of 27 inches (68 cm) and a length of approx. 39 inches
(100 cm).
Note:
Switch to a middle gear at a derailleur gearing to avoid a
chain slip off during the folding.
1. Release the locking mechanism of the seat by pressing
down on the cable (shown yellow in the diagram).
2. Fold the seat stay forward.
Note:
We recommend placing a towel or cloth between the chain
and the seat cover to avoid soiling the cover.
3. Unfasten the seat cover beneath the seat and fold the seat
forward (see page 11).
4. Open the hinged locking mechanism (1) by turning the wing
nut counterclockwise.
5. Stand on the left side of the trike, near the folding joint.
Note:
The folding procedure is easiest when the wheels are able
to rotate freely. Therefore, make sure that the parking
brake is disengaged before folding the trike.
6. Pull the cord (2) upwards and slightly towards the rear of the
trike so that the rear triangle folds beneath the front part of
the frame.
7. Lock the folded frame in place by securing the cord in the
cord-lock mechanism (3).
8. Loosen the two Allen bolts between the front boom and the
main frame using a 6mm Allen key and slide the front boom
into the frame (see also page 6, Adjusting the frame length).
To unfold the trike, follow steps 1-9 in the reverse order.
Caution!
When folding and unfolding the trike, use caution to ensure
that no sensitive parts, such as the gear and brake cables,
get pinched in the joint, which could cause damage.
