Figure 23 : Check Cell installation
Do not insert the check cell in any other mode as this will influence the recorded rolling averages.
Issue: A
Revision: 1
Date: 24/07/19
Slot the check cell in to place and replace and tighten the screws; the cell can be
fitted either way round and is illustrated below.
Connect the gas inlet tube to the inlet of the checkcell and connect tube to
desired gas, along with a flow restrictor. Set gas regulator pressure to 1.5 bar.
Connect tubing of a least 4 metres to the gas outlet.
Introducing the check cell may cause an initial major disturbance to the
instrument operation. Wait for the instrument reading to settle – 5 to 10 minutes
– and record the gas measurement with the cell in position.
Remove the check cell and wait for the analyser to return to zero (another 5 to 10
minutes).
Replace the cover on the check cell holder and press the mode key on the signal
processor. The instrument now returns to operating mode.
This test can be done with the plant online, but any pollutant gas present (also it
will probably be residing at a different temperature) will interfere with the check

cell value.
