Exchanging the Battery
New battery units for the adapter of the type W-BAT-B2 can be ordered from
Pepperl+Fuchs under the part number 220390.
Warning!
Caustic battery acid
Leaking battery acid can cause personal injury and damage to the device.
•
Never use batteries that are leaking.
•
Never use batteries with external damage such dents or deep scratches, even if no
battery acid is leaking.
Warning!
Possible damage because of wrong battery
Using the wrong type of battery may cause damage to the device. The use of batteries
other than specified in this manual also voids the IS certification.
Use lithium primary batteries from Pepperl+Fuchs approved for this device only.
Note!
•
When operating at low ambient temperatures, it is possible that the voltage drop within
the battery unit is so great, that the adapter and/or connected device can no longer be
operated.
•
When operating at high ambient temperatures, it is possible that the energy of the
battery unit is limited by self-discharge.
