Buttons

Depending upon the length of time it is pressed and whether the battery is already
connected, the pushbutton calls various functions.

The following functions are available when the battery is connected with the pushbutton
pressed. The times start from the moment the battery is connected (red LED lights).

Procedure
• Press button for more than 0.2 seconds and less
than 5 seconds.
• Release button.
• The LEDs display the current device status (see
chapter 6.1.1).
• Keep button pressed for 5 s.
• After 5 s the yellow LED starts flashing at 3 Hz.
• Release button.
• The yellow LED extinguishes.
• The adapter starts joining.
• Keep button pressed for 10 s. After 5 s the
yellow LED starts flashing at 3 Hz. After 10 s the
red LED starts flashing at 3 Hz.
• The adapter enters configuration mode.
• Release button.
• Configuration mode is retained until there was
no HART communication for 300 s
(configurable) or until pushbutton is pressed
again for 10 s ... 15 s.
• The red LED extinguishes.
• The red LED lights until the pushbutton is
released.
• Keep button pressed for 10 s. The red LED lights
during this time.
• After 10 s the red LED starts flashing at 2.5 Hz.
• Release button to start the reset.
• Keep button pressed for 20 s. During this time
the red LED lights for 10 s. Then the red LED
starts flashing at 2.5 Hz. After this, the red LED
lights again.
• After 20 s the red LED starts flashing at 1.25 Hz.
• Release button to start the reset.
• The red LED remains lit until the pushbutton is
released
