The drive force of the motor is shut off during the ride
as soon as the rider no longer pedals. The drive
system does not switch off when braking.
 In order to achieve optimum braking results, do not
pedal while braking.

Using the brake lever

2
Front (2) and rear (1) brake lever – example: Shimano brake
 Pull the left brake lever for the front wheel brake and
the right lever for the rear wheel brake until the
desired speed is reached.

Using the back-pedal brake

Alternative
The best braking effect is achieved if the pedals are in
the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock position when braking. To
bridge the free travel between the riding movement
and the braking movement, it is recommendable to
pedal a little beyond the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock
position before you pedal in the opposite direction to
the direction of travel and start braking.
 Pedal in the opposite direction to the direction of
travel until the desired speed has been reached.
