Using the 0505: Extension Assignment Utility
Use 0505: Extension Assignment to change the extension, trunk or Analog
Door Box (DS1000 only) number assigned to a port (circuit).
DS1000:
Enter the programming mode and dial

0505: Extension Assignment. You see:
To view extensions, enter

To view trunks, enter
To view Analog Door Boxes, enter
Enter the port number for the device you want to view. For example:

for extension 302, enter 3.
For trunk4, enter 4.
For the second Analog Door Box, enter 2.
Note that each device type (extension, trunk, or Analog Door Box)
has its own set of port numbers.
Press . The currently assigned extension number for the port

Enter a new extension number (100-899) +

ASSIGNED!
The system provides a single pool of extension numbers (100-899).
Any port can use any available extension number.
If you see ASSIGNMENT FAILED, the extension number is already
assigned to another port.
