In this menu you set the quantity of the data packets to be transmitted, the for-
ward error correction FEC and the transmission channel. If the forward error
correction is used the data to be transmitted is encoded in a redundant way
so that the addressee can correct transmission errors.
Defining the quantity of data packets
• Using the
data packet ("1" ... "7").
button to position the cursor under "UDP" or "RTP".
buttons to select the desired transmission protocol:
—> "UDP" – The User Datagram Protocol is for the connectionless trans-
mission of data to a certain application. The port number of the
service is also sent which the data should obtain.
—> "RTP" – The Real-time Transport Protocol is for continuously trans-
mitting multimedia data streams in an IP network. Unlike UDP, the
header is transmitted which makes the data transmission more ro-
bust.
button to position the cursor under the port number e.g.
