Cooking zones and sensors

The hob has four cooking zones. A sensor in
the control panel is assigned to each cooking
zone.
You can use the '+' sensor (10) to increase
the heat setting of the respective cooking
zone.
You can use the '-' sensor (11) to reduce the
heat of the respective cooking zone.
Each time a sensor is touched, an acoustic
signal can be heard.
The sensors must be clean and may not be
covered by objects.
When activating the sensors, always
use the entire fi ngertip and not just the
very end of the fi nger. Your fi nger must be
clean and dry for the sensors to react ap-
propriately.
Each time the sensor registers a touch,
you will hear an acoustic signal.

Switching the hob on

– To switch the hob on, press the on/off sen-
sor (8) for approximately three seconds.
You will hear an acoustic signal. The '-' or
'--' indicator will light up beside the sensors
of all cooking zones.

Pot recognition

Pot recognition is installed in the cooking
zones. Pot recognition ensures that the cook-
ing zone will heat up only if there is a pot with
a ferromagnetic bottom or another object
made of the same kind of metal located on
that zone. The cooking zone becomes inac-
tive as soon as the pot or the magnetic object
is removed.
