Cooking zones and sensors
If you do not press a sensor or do not
place suitable cookware on the cook-
ing zone within one minute of switching the
hob on, the hob will switch off automatically.
You cannot activate the '+'- and '-'
sensors with normally illuminated indi-
cators before you have selected a cooking
zone.
If there is no pot, or no suitable pot,
placed on the selected cooking zone,
the ' ' indicator will appear beside the cor-
responding sensor after approximately two
seconds. As soon as you place a suitable
pot on the cooking zone, the selected heat
setting will again be displayed.
In rare cases, this indicator may also appear
when there is a suitable pot. After a few sec-
onds, however, the selected heat setting will
be displayed again.
Increasing or reducing the
heat setting of a cooking zone
Even if the cooking process has already be-
gun, you can increase or decrease the heat
setting of a cooking zone.
1. Press the sensor for the required cooking
zone.
The indicator beside the cooking zone will
blink.
2. Press the '+' sensor (10) (multiple times
in a row if necessary) or press and hold it
down with your finger longer to increase
the heat setting of the cooking zone.
Press the '-' sensor (11) (multiple times in a
row if necessary) or press and hold it down
with your finger longer to reduce the heat
setting of the cooking zone.
After a few seconds, the indicator for the
selected cooking zone will be normally lit
and the new heat setting will have been
selected.
When the ' ' indicator and not the heat set-
ting is blinking in the display, this may have
the following causes:
– The cookware is not placed on the cor-
rect cooking zone.
– The cookware being used is not suitable
for induction hobs.
– The cookware is too small or is not cen-
tred on the cooking zone.
As long as there is no suitable cookware on
the cooking zone that is switched on, no heat-
ing will occur.
Switching off individual
cooking zones
1. Use the sensor field (5) to select the ac-
tive cooking zone.
2. Press the '-' sensor (11) (multiple times
in a row if necessary) or simultaneously
press the '+' and '-' sensors until the heat
setting '0' indicator is displayed.
CAUTION
Risk of burns!
Only switch a cooking zone off using the
sensors, and never by removing the pot
from the cooking zone. If you remove
the pot from the cooking zone, the zone
will be reactivated as soon as a pot or
other object made of ferromagnetic ma-
terial is placed in it.
