Cooking zones and sensors
If the temperature of the cooking zones falls
below a specific value, the residual heat sym-
bol 'H' will go out.
Using the timer function /
cooking time limit
You can use the timer function as a timer
or use it to set automatic shut-off time for a
cooking zone.
Use as a timer
1. Ensure that the hob is switched on.
2. Press the timer sensor (7) to set the timer.
3. Press the '+' sensor (10) and '-' sensor (11)
at the same time.
The '00' indicator beside the timer sensor
will blink.
4. Press the '+' sensor or the '-' sensor to set
the desired number of minutes.
Pressing the '+' sensor or the '-' sensor
once increases or decrease the time in
minute increments.
If you press the '+' sensor or the '-' sensor
longer, the time setting changes in 10-min-
ute increments.
The countdown will start shortly after the
last time the sensor was pressed. The re-
maining time will be shown in the display
and will blink for 5 seconds.
When the time is up, you will hear a sig-
nal tone for 30 seconds. The '--' indicator
will appear in the display beside the timer
symbol.
Changing / cancelling the countdown
You can change or cancel the countdown of
the timer at any time.
1. Press the timer sensor (7) to select the
timer.
The remaining number of minutes until
shut-down will flash for a few seconds. The
setting can be changed while this indica-
tor is flashing. Afterwards, the indicator will
again be lit normally.
2. Adjust the minutes using the '+' sensor (10)
and the '-' sensor (11) or set the indicator
to '0' to switch off the timer.
Use as a cooking time limit
1. The cooking zone that is to be switched
off using the shut-down timer must be in
use.
2. Press the sensor of this cooking zone to
activate the zone.
The heat setting display for the selected

cooking zone will blink.
3. Press the timer sensor (7).
The '1 0' indicator to the left beside the time
sensor will light up. A red dot will light up
continuously beside the heat setting dis-
play to indicate that the timer is active.
4. Press the '+' sensor (10) and the '-' sen-
sor (11) at the same time to set the timers
to '0 0'.
5. Press the '+' sensor to set the desired
number of minutes after which the cook-
ing zone is to switch off.
The number of minutes that has been set
will blink for a few seconds, during which
time that number can be adjusted, and
then will light up normally.
6. When the time that has been set expires,
you will hear a signal tone and the cook-
ing zone will be shut off.
