Cooking zones/areas and sensors

Cooking zones/areas and sensors
The hob has two large cooking zones and a
cooking area. The cooking area can be divid-
ed into 2 separate cooking zones. A sensor
in the sensor panel (6) is assigned to each
cooking zone/area.
The sensors must be clean and may not be
covered by objects.
Always touch the sensors with your
entire fi ngertip, not just the very end of
the fi nger. Your fi nger must be clean and dry
for the sensors to react appropriately.
Each time the sensor registers a touch,
you will hear an acoustic signal.

Pot recognition

A pot recognition function is installed in each
cooking zone/area. Pot recognition ensures
that the cooking zone/area will heat up only if
there is a pot with a ferromagnetic base or an-
other object made of the same kind of metal
located on that zone. The cooking zone/area
becomes inactive as soon as the pot or the
magnetic object is removed.
