Child safety

Your hob is equipped with a child safety de-
vice, which must be deactivated prior to using
the hob or changing the settings. This pre-
vents unauthorized switching on.
Activating the child safety device
1. Switch the hob on using the on/off sen-
sor (8).
2. Set the cooking zones and, if applicable,
the timer, as desired.
3. Press the child safety sensor (9).
All sensors are now deactivated except the
on/off sensor. This is indicated by a blinking
'LO' beside the timer sensor (7).
When the child safety feature is
switched on, all sensors are deactivated
except the on/off sensor. The hob can be
switched on even if the child safety device
is activated. You must, however, deactivate
the child safety device before the next use.
Deactivating the child safety device
1. Ensure that the hob is switched on.
The 'LO' indicator will blink beside the timer
sensor (7).
2. Press the child protection sensor (9) for
three seconds.
The 'LO' sensor will go out and the '--' indi-
cator will appear beside the time sensor.
Now you will again be able to use all of the
sensors on the hob.
