NOTICE
Risk due to improper operation!
Improper handling of the appliance may
result in damage.
Cooking zones may become damaged if
they are operated without cookware or
with empty or incorrect cookware.
Even small objects may cause a great
deal of damage if they come into con-
tact with glass ceramic in a punctiform
manner. Do not allow objects to fall onto
the glass ceramic.
Do not push heavy pans across the hob;
this may scratch the glass ceramic.
Do not place any magnetisable objects
(such as credit cards) near or on the hob,
as they may be damaged by the electro-
magnetic fi eld.
Wipe the hob and the base of the pots
prior to use to wipe away any dirt which
may cause scratches.
Do not use the hob as a work surface or
a storage area. Otherwise, materials that
are sensitive to heat such as plastic dish-
es could become damaged.
Never place cookware, baking sheets or
aluminium foil directly on the bottom of
the oven. This will cause heat to build up,
which can damage the enamel of the
oven.
Prior to cleaning, allow the hob to cool
completely.
Do not use any harsh detergents, scour-
ing agents, abrasive powder or steel
sponges; they can damage the surface.
Clean and maintain the hob regularly
with a special care product containing a
special impregnating oil for glass ceram-
ic hobs. Such products can be found in
specialist shops.
Avoid getting sugar, citric acid, plastic,
salt, etc. in solid and liquid states onto
the hot glass ceramic. If this happens, re-
move the dirt from the still-hot glass ce-
ramic with a sharp, commercially avail-
able scraper. Protect your hands from
burns while doing so.
