Replacing the lift motor steel cables

WARNING
Care must be taken when replacing the lift motor steel cables.
Removing parts of the lift motor assembly may make the column
fall causing a dangerous situation and/or damage to the X-ray
unit. The downwards movement of the moving column must be
eliminated before detaching any parts.
WARNING
The X-ray unit contains live mains voltage parts. Always
disconnect the X-ray unit from mains before carrying out any
servicing work on the lift motor.
Remove the lift motor as described in section 2.4 "Replacing the lift motor" on page D-5.
Both steel cable pulleys (lower and upper pulley) are fitted with a securing plate that keeps
the steel cables on the pulley and prevents them from jumping track. Loosen the screws
that hold the steel cable securing plates in position.
