INFORMATION
These instructions for use are only valid starting with the following serial

1.1 Construction and Function
The 3S80* Sport knee joint was designed for sports with no double support
phase while running. In particular, this includes jogging, sprinting and ath
letics disciplines with corresponding movement patterns. The prosthetic
knee joint is equipped with rotary hydraulics to control the swing phase.
It is not suitable for everyday prostheses, since it does not offer stance
phase control and is designed for much greater flexion angles that occur
during sports.
Extension and flexion damping is adjustable for adaptation to the respective
sport. The prosthetic knee joint features an integrated lock.
The hydraulic oil used in the 3S80=1 has a considerably lower viscosity than
the oil used in the 3S80. The less viscous oil facilitates smooth-running
movements, what can be advantageous e. g. in sport prostheses for children
and especially in sprint prostheses.
