Unpacking the Device

Procedure
Lift the device with the styrofoam padding out of the packaging .

Place the device in the styrofoam padding on its side .
t
Lift the styrofoam padding off the device .
t
NOTICE Glass breakage due to incorrect handling of the device! Only lift the
t
device by its base .
Place the device on its base .
t
Keep all parts of the original packaging, e .g . to return the device .

Connecting the Ethernet Cable

Material:
1 Ethernet cable
1 soft support base
Tool:
1 Torx Allen key, T8
Procedure
Turn over the electronics module with control unit and place on a soft surface .

Remove the cover (3) of the Ethernet connection socket on the underside of the
t
display and control unit .
Plug the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet connection socket .
t
Place the Ethernet cable into the cable channel (1) and turn the cable lock (2)
t
using the network cable .

Place the electronics module with control unit back on the device base on a level
t
surface .

Preparing Below-balance Weighing

The device can be configured for below-balance weighing . Samples can be
suspended for weighing using below-balance weighing, e .g . samples, which do not
fit on the weighing pan .
For below-balance weighing, the cover plate must be removed and the device set up
on a weighing table with recess .
In legal metrology:
− The below-balance weighing equipment may not be used .
− The cover of the below-balance weighing equipment may not be opened .
