Caution:
Before you install the SecPath V100-S, make sure that you have read Chapter 2
"Installation Preparations" carefully and have satisfied all the requirements.
3.2 Mounting the SecPath V100-S
You can mount your device on a workbench or in a standard 19-inch rack.
3.2.1 Free-Standing
Place the security gateway on a clean and flat workbench. To prevent any damage,
observe the following:
Ensure the workbench is stable enough.
Allow 10 cm (3.9 inches) of clearance around the ventilation openings.
Do not place any heavy object on the device.
3.2.2 Rack Mounting
The SecPath V100-S is designed to be mounted in 19-inch standard racks. The
following table shows its physical dimensions.

Follow these steps to install the SecPath V100-S:
Step 1: Ensure that the rack is stable enough and properly grounded. Attach the
rack-mounting ears to the front of the chassis with screws.
Step 2: Place the SecPath V100-S on a shelf in the rack and slide it to a proper position
along the guide rails.
Step 3: Fix the rack-mounting ears to the rack posts with suitable antirust pan-head
screws. Make sure that the device is placed horizontally and securely fixed.
