Configuring the server

This section contains information about configuring the server and installing the
operating system.

Make sure that the energy saving functions are disabled in the BIOS Setup
during server operation.
5.3.1

Configuring the PCI SAS RAID Controller

You can configure the RAID either before or during ServerStart. Using ServerStart
is recommended.
The PCI SAS RAID Controller configuration is either performed with the BIOS
Configuration Utility (accessed with CTRL-H during the BIOS-POST), or with
ServerStart Disk 1 using ServerViewRAID.
