Startup and operation
On/Off button
When the system is switched off, it can be switched on again by
pressing the On/Off button. When the system is operating, it can be
switched off by pressing the On/Off button. You will find more
options for switching the system on/off on

ID ID button
The ID indicators on the front and rear of the server light up (blue)
synchronously when the ID button is pressed.
Menu selection button for the system display (LocalView)
The menu selection button controls the LCD of the system display
(LocalView). It is possible to switch between display modes and to
scroll within the display modes.
To scroll within display mode, press the menu selection button for
less than one second.
To change the display mode, hold down the menu selection button
for more than one second. The menu selection button works
independently of the setting.

Indicators on the control panel

Drive active indicator (green/orange)
Lights up green (steady or flashing) if one of the SAS hard disk
drives controlled by the SAS Controller is accessed.
Lights up orange (steady or flashing) if an error or a different
result occurs (see
page 58).
RX600 S3 SAS
The On/Off button does not disconnect the server from the
mains. To completely disconnect it from the mains voltage,
remove the power plugs from the sockets.
