6.5. Inward Opening Installation - 100º
Figure 7 shows the minimum wall clearance and maximum pillar to gate hinge point
distance for an inward opening gate leaf opening to an angle of 100°.
The pillar to gate hinge point maximum ensures that the operator does not foul against
the pillar when installed. The minimum wall clearance in the case of the 100° opening
ensures that the gate does not run into the wall.
•
For gates 1.0m to 2.0m long, the minimum wall clearance is 370mm
•
For gates 2.0m to 3.0m long, the minimum wall clearance is 540mm
