To power on the detector for the first time
1. Ensure that the power switch located below the left door of the detector is in the Off
position.
2. Check that the appropriate fuses for the available line power are installed or install the
appropriate fuses.
Based on the line power, the following fuses should be installed:
• For 115 V line power, install two T3.15AL250V, 5 × 20 mm fuses.
• For 230 V line power, install two T1.6AL250V, 5 × 20 mm fuses.
3. Attach the power cord to the power entry module on the back panel of the detector and
connect it to the power source.
4. Turn on the power to the detector.
When the instrument is powered on, it performs its Start-up diagnostics. After a few seconds,
the Power LED on the front of the detector turns solid green. The Temp and Run LEDs turn
solid green when the operating temperature of the detector equilibrates to the default set
temperature of 35 °C. The Comm LED turns green when you open the Online Instrument
window for the instrument that contains the configured the RI detector.
Note By default, the temperature control feature is activated. The Temp LED does not
turn green until the operating temperature of the detector equilibrates to the set
temperature of 35 °C.
