Installation

Use the following procedures to install the RouteRecorder 4C SD SS.
Mounting to Flat Surfaces:
1.
Secure the included L-brackets to the side of the MDVR as
shown in the diagram.
2.
Secure the MDVR to the surface with self-tapping screws or
rivets.
Ensure that the front panel of the MDVR remains visible and accessible.
Do not install the RouteRecorder 4C SD SS in an area of the vehicle cabin
that could interfere with the safe operation of the vehicle.
Mounting inside a console:
1.
Remove the preinstalled flat surface mounting brackets.
Save the screws for step 5.
2.
Slide the 1-DIN console mounting plate over the front of the
RouteRecorder 4C SD SS and align the holes on the side.
There are three different holes to adjust the distance the unit protrudes
from the console.
3.
Place the supporting plates on both sides of the RouteRecorder
4C SD SS so that they overlap the mounting plate as shown in the
diagram.
4.
Use the screws included with the kit to secure the front of the
supporting plates over the mounting plate.
5.
Use the original screws to secure the rear of the supporting
plates.
6.
Insert the unit in the console and secure it using the holes pro-
vided on the console mounting plate.
Ensure that the front panel of the MDVR remains visible and accessible.
Do not install the RouteRecorder 4C SD SS in an area of the vehicle cabin
that could interfere with the safe operation of the vehicle.
