21.8 Updating or Restoring BIOS Using Phoenix Phlash

Phoenix Phlash allows you to update BIOS using a floppy disk without having to install a
new ROM chip. Phoenix Phlash is a utility for flashing a BIOS to the Flash ROM
installed on the MOPSlcdGX1.
Use Phoenix Phlash to:
• Update the current BIOS with a newer version
• Restore a corrupt BIOS
Kontron Embedded Modules
Option
Saves selections and exits setup.
The next time the system boots, the
BIOS configures the system
according to the Setup selection
stored in CMOS.
Exits Setup without storing in CMOS
any new selections you may have
made. The selections previously in
effect remain in effect.
Displays default values for all the
Setup menus.
If, during a Setup session, you
change your mind about changes you
have made and have not yet saved
the values to CMOS, you can restore
the values you saved to CMOS.
Saves all the selection without exiting
Setup. You can return to the other
menus to review and change your
selection.
