3.6 Temperature Control Unit (for the TP48200A-DC1 and
TP48200A-DC2)
The equipment compartments of the TP48200A-DT19C1 and TP48200A-DT19C2 use direct
ventilation for air cooling while the battery compartments use a TEC. The direct ventilation
unit consists of a fan assembly controlled by a UIM02C. The TEC consists of a TEC module
and a TCUA control box. The TCUA control box controls the operating of the TEC module.

3.6.1 Direct Ventilation

Working Principle
The fan draws the air out of the cabinet and absorbs the heat inside to cool the cabinet and
hence save the energy. Figure 3-14 shows the working principles of the direct ventilation.
