Pack the removed component and return it to the local Huawei warehouse.

4.4.6 Replacing a Fan Assembly

Prerequisites


Context
You need only to disconnect the fan power cable, instead of the AC input to the system.
Procedure
Step 1 Connect the ground cable to the ESD wrist strap, and put on the ESD wrist strap and ESD
gloves.
Step 2 Disconnect the power cable from the UIM02C.

Step 3 Take out the fan assembly.

Issue 03 (2019-11-15)
Prepare an ESD wrist strap, a pair of ESD gloves, an ESD box or bag, the cabinet door
key, and tools.
Check that the new fan is intact.
Record the position where the UIM02C panel connects to the signal cables, and then
disconnect the signal cables.
Unscrew and then take out the UIM02C panel, as shown in Figure 4-8.
Disconnect the -48 V power cable from the UIM02C backplane, as shown in Figure 4-9.
Record the positions where cables connect to the fan assembly and then disconnect the
cables.
Unscrew and take out the fan assembly, as shown in Figure 4-11.
