MULTI CHANNEL AV RECEIVER
STR-ZA3100ES/STR-ZA2100ES/STR-ZA1100ES
When using an ARC-compatible TV that supports Dolby Atmos audio output
The receiver can receive Dolby Atmos signals in the Dolby Digital Plus format, not only when audio signals are input
from the HDMI input jack but also from a TV connected to the receiver by using the ARC function.
Turn on the ARC function to enable the transmission of Dolby Digital Plus signals. This receiver is designed to activate
the ARC function separately even if [Control for HDMI] is set to [Off] in the [HDMI Setup] menu. In this case, set the
receiver by the following procedure.
Turn on the Control for HDMI function of the TV.
1
Change the setting for the audio output of the TV so that the TV can output the Dolby Digital Plus signals.
2
For details on setting the TV, refer to the operating instructions of the TV.
Set [Audio Return Channel] to [ARC] in the [HDMI Setup] menu on the receiver.
3
Set [Input Mode] to [Auto] in the [Input Setup] menu on the receiver.
4
Set the HDMI OUTPUT setting to [HDMI OUT A] on the receiver.
5
Turn off the Control for HDMI function for all devices connected to the receiver except the TV.
6
For details, refer to the operating instructions of the connected devices.
Turn off any settings for the operation of other devices on the TV's remote control.
7
For details on setting the TV, refer to the operating instructions of the TV.
Switch the input of the receiver to [TV].
8
Note
The ARC function only works on the TV connected to the HDMI OUT A jack.
If the Control for HDMI function is activated on the source devices connected to the receiver or the TV, the interlocking functions
only work between the TV and the source devices.
