LOCATINGTHE PRINTER
Beforeyou startunpackingand settingup yourprinter,make sumthat you
have a suitableplaceon whichto locateit. By "a suitableplace",we mean:
A firm, level surfacewhichis fairlyvibration-tie
Away fmm excessiveheat (suchas directsunlight,heatem,etc)
Awayfrom excessivehumidity
Awayfromexcessivedust
Supplyit with"clean"electricity.Donot connectit to the samecircuitas
a large,noise-producing appliancesuchas a refrigerator.
Make sure the line voltage is the voltage specified on the printer's
identificationplate.
To disconnectthe printer,the plughas to be disconnectedfromthe wall
socket,whichhas to be locatedcloseto the printer,and easy to access.
InstaUthepMterwherethereissufficient m omforthepaperandanypaper
being fed in or printedout.
If youareconnectingyourprinterwitha parallelinterface,makesurethat
thecableis within2m(6ft)of theprinter.AnRS-232connection usingthe
optionalIS-8XLinterfacecartridgecan be madeover longerdistances.
