Install the ribboncartridge
Openthefrontcoverby liftingup thebackusingthetwogripsoneitherside,
then swingdown the transparentpart (seeFigure2-3).

Now installthe ribbonwith the followingprocedure.(If you wantto print

Turn the tensionknob clockwiseon the ribboncartridgeto tightenthe
ribbonif it is slack.
Guidetheribbonbetweentheprintheadandthe silverprintheadshield,
making certain that the spindles on the cartridge holder fit into the
socketson the cartridgeitself.
The ribbonshouldpass betweentheprinthead andtheprinthead shield
as shownin Figure2-4.
