Onewayto handlethelastproblemis to prepareyourdocumentwithoutthe
commands,then insertthem as a finalstep,with the marginsreleased.The
find,replace,andcopyfunctionsof word-processing softwarecanbehelpful
here.
If youdonotusethesecommandsorthepanelcontrols,theprinterwillprint
standard-size, R omancharactem
The printer supportsvariouscommandsin additionto the above,such as
quadruple-size printing.Mostoftheseothercommandsconsistof thecscapc
code followedby one or more lettersor numbers.
If yoursoftwareenablesyouto placethe escapecodein yourfiles,or if you
areabletodefinethisasa useroptionduringinstallation, y oucanalsoembed
theseescapesequences.
PROGRAMMING THE PRINTER WITH DOS
COMMANDS
If your system includesthe file PRINT.COMyou can use the main DOS
printingcommand. S implytypethewordPRINTfollowedbythenameofthe
file you wantto print.To print a file namedREADME.DOC, f or example,
type:

If yourcomputeris connectedto onlyoneprinter,pressRETURNto select
the default choice (PRN). Printing will begin and the A> prompt will
reappear.You can executeother commandsor programswhile the lilc is
beingprinted.
