System installation

3.1 Unpacking instructions

1.
Confirm that the packing box is undamaged. If the box is damaged, contact the shipper.
2.
Open the top of the box and carefully unpack all components.
3.
Confirm that all components are undamaged. If any of the components are damaged,
contact the shipper.
4.
Confirm that all components are included. If any of the components are missing, contact
your GE Healthcare distributor.

3.2 Choosing location

Consider the following aspects:
lighting
space
connections
electromagnetic and radio frequency interference, see Appendix
Compatibility
environment
WARNING
The monitor or its components should not be used adjacent to or stacked
with other equipment. If adjacent or stacked use is necessary, the monitor
and its components should be observed to verify normal operation in the
configuration in which it will be used.
WARNING
Never install the monitor so that it is above the patient.
CAUTION
The monitor display is fragile. Ensure that it is not placed near a heat source or
exposed to mechanical shocks, pressure, moisture or direct sunlight.

3.3 S/5 Frame for Compact Monitor

Mounting of S/5 Compact Monitor to the Bed Mount, Wall Mount or Roll Stand is described in a
separate instruction sheet delivered with each mount.
WARNING
After transferring or reinstalling the monitor, always check that it is
properly connected and all parts are securely attached. Pay special
attention to this in case of stacked mounting.
