The Avaya S8500 Media Server has five LEDs on the front and four LED's in the back. The following is
a brief description of the function of each of the LEDs:
CD drive activity LED (green): When lit, the CD-ROM drive is in use.
Diskette drive activity LED (green): When lit, the diskette drive is in use.
System error LED (amber): Lights when a system error occurs.
Hard disk drive activity LED (green): When lit, the disk drive is in use.
Power-on LED (green): When lit, the server is turned on.
Ethernet 1 activity LED (green): Blinks when there is an active 10/100/1000BASE-T connection
for Ethernet port 1.
Ethernet 1 link LED (green): Lights when the speed of the Ethernet LAN is 1000BASE-T. The
green LED will be off when the speed of the Ethernet LAN is 10/100BASE-T.
Ethernet 2 activity LED (green): Blink when there is an active 10/100/1000BASE-T connection
for Ethernet port 2.
Ethernet 2 link LED (green): Lights when the speed of the Ethernet LAN is 1000BASE-T. The
green LED will be off when the speed of the Ethernet LAN is 10/100BASE-T.

Description

Press to release a CD from the CD-ROM drive.
Press to turn the server on or off manually.
This USB port configures automatically and uses a serial
interface standard for telephony and multimedia devices.

Press to reset the server and run the power-on self-test
(POST).
When lit, it indicates that the server is turned on.
