Testing with watch tables
The following functions are available in the watch table:
● Monitoring of tags
Using the watch tables, you can monitor the current values of the individual tags of a user
program or a CPU on the programming device or PC.
The following operand areas can be monitored:
– Inputs and outputs (process image) and bit memory
– Contents of data blocks
– Peripheral inputs and peripheral outputs
– Timers and counters
● Modifying tags
Use this function to assign fixed values to the individual tags of a user program or CPU.
Modifying is also possible for testing with program status.
The following operand areas are modifiable:
– Inputs and outputs (process image) and bit memory
– Contents of data blocks
– Peripheral inputs and peripheral outputs (for example, %I0.0:P, %Q0.0:P)
– Timers and counters
● "Enable peripheral outputs" and "Modify now"
These two functions enable you to assign fixed values to individual peripheral outputs of
a CPU in the STOP mode. You can also use them to check your wiring.
