Symbol
Meaning
Designation of batteries. Batteries may not be disposed of with household waste, but must
rather be disposed of separately. Used batteries must be returned to the point of sale or a
disposal system
Labelling of electrical and electronic devices. Electrical and electronic devices must not be
disposed of with household waste, but must rather be taken to a collection point for waste
electrical equipment. Such a collection point is generally operated by public waste
management authorities, i.e., by municipalities.
