Test Procedure
Test Setup
1. Turn on the power meter (with power sensor connected) and the signal source and allow for warm up of 90
minutes.
2. Install the M9302A into the PXI chassis.
3. Turn on the PXI chassis and allow it to warm up for 15 minutes.
4. Perform a power meter zero and calibration on the power sensor.
5. Open the M9302A soft front panel and set the LO Frequency to 3 GHz (default value).
6. Connect the equipment as shown in Figure 1.
a. Connect the RF OUT of the signal source to the input of the two-resistor splitter using a 3.5 mm (m)
to 3.5 mm (m) RF cable.
b. Connect the power sensor to one of the output arms of the two-resistor splitter.
c. Connect the other output arm of the two-resistor splitter to the RF IN of the signal analyzer, using a
10 dB fixed attenuator and a 3.5 (m) to Type-N (m) adaptor. The connection is to be made without
cables.
d. Connect the 10 MHz OUT of the signal analyzer to the 10 MHz IN port of the signal source.
