5.7 Laser driver Principle and error codes

There are two identical laser driver PCB's, defined as Board 1 and Board 0, where Board 0 is the lower board,
and Board 1 is the upper board.
Each board has four outputs, named 0 – 3, where output 0 – 2 are used in the F70 projector.
This drives the laser cluster, which consist of six laser banks. (3 + 3).
See chapter 5.7.1 for a block diagram for the laser and drivers.
For monitoring the status / condition of the laser driver module, there are NTC's connected to each laser bank,
and on each driver output on the laser driver boards. The software will monitor the data from this NTC's
continuously, and by an error, a failure message will occur, that defines the error.
The NTC's on the Laser driver board are defines as "heatsink" in the error message string, and the NTC's on
the laser banks is defined as "bank" in the error message string.
This means that error message can look like this:
#e20400 environment.laser.board1.bank0.error input...
Meaning that there are registered a temperature error in bank0 in the left Cluster
Other examples of error messages:
#e20400 environment.laser.board1.bank4.error input...
Meaning there is a temp error in the right Cluster #e20400 environment.laser.board1.bank1.error input...
Meaning that there is a temperature error in the lower laser driver board.
#e20400 environment.laser.board0.heatsink0.error input...
#e20400 environment.laser.board1.heatsink1.error input...
Meaning that there is a temp error in the upper laser driver board.
So; the clue in identifying source failure from those messages is to identify the board number, whether it is a
heatsink or bank mentioned, and which number they have.
See also the error code/failure matrix, and the block diagram for an overview of the system.
