Image 11-1
As a reference color picture, use an external source, for instance a PC and a program, for instance paint, that
will give a clear red picture (255,0,0). Set to full screen. Disable the OSD during this process, and use only the
LCD panel on the projector in order to have a clean, red picture on the screen.
11.3 Index adjustment procedure
Procedure
1.
Enable the Clean up Wheel slider, and use the arrow keys on the projector keypad to move the slider to the
left, step by step, until a slight disturbance are observed on the screen. This disturbance is identified by
horizontal orange /yellow lines on the screen. This distortion is attempted visualized in figure "Picture
distortion".
2.
To find the exact point where the distortion starts to be visible, move the slider back and forth around the
observed distortion start point. Find the exact point where the disturbance is visible, and note the value that
appears to the right of the Clean Up Wheel slider.
3.
Move the slider to the right, until the distortion in the picture occurs again, typically approximately 15 steps.
This is the same type distortion as described above, but the orange/yellow lines appear to be wider. This is
attempted visualized in the figure below. Repeat the same process for this point, and note the value.
4.
Find the average value by adding the two values, and divide by 2 (A+B)/2.
5.
Move the Clean Up Wheel slider to the calculated point, and the index are now set to the optimal value.
