Standard Installation Rules

Installation Order for the ETERNUS DX600 S4/DX600 S3
The installation priority order for cache memory modules is shown below.
ETERNUS DX600 S4

256GB cache memory for the DX600 (16GB ´ 16)

128GB cache memory for the DX600 (8GB ´ 16)
3
32GB cache memory for the DX600 (4GB ´ 8)
ETERNUS DX600 S3

1 128GB cache memory for the DX600 S3 (8GB ´ 16)
2 32GB cache memory for the DX600 S3 (4GB ´ 8)
The diagram below shows a cache memory installation.
Install the cache memory modules in SLOT#0, SLOT#2, SLOT#4, and SLOT#6 first, and then SLOT#1, SLOT#3,
SLOT#5, and SLOT#7 according to the installation order.
The configuration is the same for Controller 0 (CM#0) and Controller 1 (CM#1).
