This section describes the standard installation rules for cache memory.

Installation Order for the ETERNUS DX500 S4/DX500 S3
The installation priority order for cache memory modules is shown below.
ETERNUS DX500 S4

1 128GB cache memory for the DX500 (16GB ´ 8)
2 64GB cache memory for the DX500 (8GB ´ 8)
3 16GB cache memory for the DX500 (4GB ´ 4)
ETERNUS DX500 S3

64GB cache memory for the DX500 S3 (8GB ´ 8)

16GB cache memory for the DX500 S3 (4GB ´ 4)
The diagram below shows a cache memory installation.
Install the cache memory modules in SLOT#0 and SLOT#2 first, and then SLOT#4 and SLOT#6 according to the
installation order.
The configuration is the same for Controller 0 (CM#0) and Controller 1 (CM#1).
