Troubleshooting: Universal Groomer Problems
Verify that U, V, and W motor phases
are correctly connected.
Test each motor phase to ground.
Check the phase resistance to
48V bus and 48V ground after the
controller capacitor bank has been
de-energized.
Replace and program the traction
motor controller (contact an Authorized
Toro Distributor for assistance).
Cycle the key switch.
Use the InfoCenter to calibrate the
traction motors.
Test the wiring to the motor.
Replace the motor.
For SC5, use the InfoCenter to
calibrate the traction pedal first, then
the traction motors.
For SC6, use the InfoCenter to
calibrate the traction motors.
Reduce the ground speed.
Check for mechanical resistance in the
wheels that would make the motors
work extra hard.
Replace the traction motor.
For SC5 and SC6, use the InfoCenter
to calibrate the traction motors.
For T5, program the traction motor
(contact an Authorized Toro Distributor
for assistance).
Clean the air intake screen on the
back of the starter/generator. Be sure
the starter/generator is pulling air
through the air intake by feeling with
your hand or by testing with a piece
of paper.
Let the machine cool.
Reduce the cutting loads by reducing
the reel speed or reducing mow speed.
Replace the starter/generator motor.
