3.2 Installation requirements
According to the specifications in the technical data, a release of flammable components that
is regarded as limited can occur from leakage of the sample gas path.
If a natural air exchange with the environment of the housing is ensured, there is no need to
purge the housing of the FIDAMAT 6. The air exchange must be taken into consideration in
particular when the device is installed in cabinets.
Toxic and/or corrosive gases
When the device is used to measure toxic and/or corrosive gases, purging of the housing is
mandatory! In addition:
• Always ensure that the maximum workplace concentration values of the measured
