3.7 Error messages of the ITC5xx
Devices following the IEEE488.2 standard provide an error queue storing errors one
by one.
An Error may occur as result of a program message (refer to chapter 3.2.2, "Program
and response messages" on page 62).
Errors are divided into four categories (refer to chapter 3.8.1, "Standard event status
register (ESR)" on page 90).
Every query
":SYST:ERR?"
error queue is empty (refer to 3.4.3, "Querying the error queue" on page 69).
The error queue can keep 32 errors.
If the queue is empty, the error message [0, "No error"] is sent to the PC

recognized as valid command.
