Clean Chroma Key

When you are using the enhanced chroma key function, in the SETUP
(CHROMA KEY) menu a clean chroma key is possible.
Using 4:4:4 format signals for the background and foreground enables you to
obtain a higher quality keyed image than with conventional chroma keying.
Clean chroma keying produces an already combined image, so it is not
possible to carry out a key transition.
The background for clean chroma keying is always selected from the analog
Option
component signals (CH 1 to CH 4). Therefore, in a D1 system, a BKDS-
7133 board is always required.
Allocating signals for clean chroma key
Using the clean chroma key function, in order to be able to select the
combined chroma key image using cross-point buttons, it is first necessary to
allocate signals such as "M/E-1 CHR KEY FRGD" and "M/E-2 CHR KEY
FRGD" in a setup menu.
For details of the allocation, see page 14-53.
