Remove Motor Bracket - Maytag MDE17CS Service Manual

Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
1. Remove the motor (See page 4-33).
2. Remove two 1/4" hex head screws that
secure the bracket to the base of the dryer.

3. Lift the bracket to remove the two tabs that
pass through the dryer base and remove
the bracket from the dryer.

To reduce excess vibration transferred
from the motor bracket to the cabinet,
place anti-vibration pads under the motor
bracket if they are missing. Install two pads
if possible, or if only one is available then
center it below the bracket.
