3.2.5 Remote EPO




Connect the requisite EPO switch to UPS dry contacts.



The number and colors of signal cables in the figure are for reference only.
Huawei does not provide the EPO switch or cable. If the cable is required, the
recommended cable is 22 AWG.
Equip the EPO switch with a protective cover to prevent misoperations, and cover the
cable with protective tubing.
Triggering EPO will shut down the rectifier, inverter, charger, and static bypass, but does
not disconnect the UPS mains input. To power off the UPS completely, open the front-end
input switch when triggering EPO.
Figure 3-47 shows the cable connections for an NC EPO switch.
Figure 3-48 shows the cable connections for an NO EPO switch.
