CAUTION
Applying carrier gas without actuation gas can result in a direct path of the carrier
gas to the vent that will rapidly use up the carrier gas supply.

Apply calibration gas

NOTICE
Do not open the isolation valve to the calibration gas yet. This will be done during
the start-up of the GC.

Apply sample gas

Back off the bottle regulator so that when the bottle valve is
opened, there will be no pressure applied.
Open the bottle valve.
Slowly increase the regulated pressure to 90 PSI (620 kPa).
Leak check the lines from the bottle to the GC.
Close the calibration gas isolation valve on the sample
handling system.
Back off the bottle regulator so that when the bottle valve is
opened, there will be no pressure applied.
Open the bottle valve.
Slowly increase the regulated pressure to 15 PSI (100 kPa).
Leak check the lines from the bottle to the GC.
Close the sample isolation valve on the sample handling
system.
Back off the sample regulator so that when the sample point
isolation valve is opened, there will be no pressure applied.
