Replace the detectors

NOTICE
The detectors should always be replaced as a pair.
Perform this procedure in a clean environment. When removing the
components from the valve, place them onto a clean work surface to
avoid contaminating the detector components.
This procedure assumes that you have removed the analytical
module from the GC.
1.
Check that the o-ring was removed with the sensor. If not,
remove and dispose of the O-Ring.
Gently hand-tighten the new sensor into the module base.
Use the 8mm wrench (or small adjustable wrench) to carefully
tighten the sensor by a half-turn. Do not over-tighten.
Use the 2.5mm hex wrench to reinstall the IMB.
Reconnect the carrier gas pressure sensor's electrical
connectors to the IMB.
A detector overhaul kit.
• A 2.5mm hex or allen wrench
• A 1mm hex or allen wrench
• An 8mm open-ended wrench
Remove the heater cap from the module.
